Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Sentrix Ltd (“Sentrix”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects information when you visit this website or use the Sentrix application builder platform, including any apps you publish with it (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Account information — name, email address, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), organisation name and billing details.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, actions taken in the builder, log data, IP address, browser and device information.
• Project content — the cards, widgets, SMART Script code, templates and data you create or upload inside the builder (“Project Content”).
• Published-app data — where your published apps collect data from their own end users (for example via forms or a built-in database), we process that data on your behalf so that your app functions. You are the controller of that data; we act as a processor. See “Your Role as a Data Controller” below.
• Communications — messages you send us for support, sales enquiries, or feedback.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide, operate, secure and improve the Service, including the builder, AI Assistant, hosting and PWA/Flutter publishing.
• To create and authenticate your account and keep it secure (including multi-factor authentication where enabled).
• To process payments, manage subscriptions and trials, and send billing communications.
• To send service notices, security alerts and, where you have agreed, product updates.
• To respond to support requests and improve our documentation and onboarding.
• To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, outages and security incidents.
• To comply with our legal obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers — vendors who host our infrastructure, send transactional email, process payments, or provide analytics, acting under contract and only to the extent needed to provide the Service.
• AI providers — if you choose to use the AI Assistant, the prompts and relevant project context you submit are sent to the AI provider configured for your account (for example Anthropic Claude or Google Gemini), or to a self-hosted Ollama endpoint that you control. Requests routed through our backend proxy are not used by us to train models.
• Legal & safety — where required to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Sentrix, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, with notice to you where required by law.
• With your direction — where you explicitly ask us to share information, for example by connecting a third-party integration.

4. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

• Essential cookies — required for sign-in, session management and security. These cannot be switched off.
• Preference cookies — remember choices such as theme or layout.
• Analytics cookies — help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. Used only where permitted, and with consent where required by law.

You can manage cookie preferences through the in-app cookie banner where shown, or by adjusting your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working.

5. Your Role as a Data Controller

Sentrix is a platform for building and publishing applications. When you build an app that collects personal data from its own end users (customers, employees, members, and so on), you are the data controller for that data and are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it, providing your end users with appropriate notices, and honouring their rights. Sentrix acts as a data processor in that relationship, storing and handling that data only as needed to run your app and as instructed by you through the platform.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and Project Content data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, dispute-resolution and security obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to the exceptions above; see “Your Rights & Choices”.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it (data portability).
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your information (“right to be forgotten”).
• Object to, or request that we restrict, certain processing.
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

These rights are available to all users, and in particular reflect protections under the UK and EU GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). To exercise any of them, email privacy@sentrix.build. We may need to verify your identity before actioning a request.

8. International Data Transfers

Sentrix may process and store information in countries other than the one in which you live. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards recognised under applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect it.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. How We Protect Your Information

We apply technical and organisational measures designed to keep your information safe — including encryption in transit, encryption of stored data and backups, hashed passwords, role-based access controls, and continuous automated security scanning. Full details are on our Security page.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the “Last updated” date above. Where changes are material, we will also notify account holders by email or through an in-app notice before they take effect.
